Steven E. Brenner, Component Project Leader

Group Website

BSGC Role

Steven E. Brenner is a computational molecular biologist who has been involved in the field of Computational Structural Genomics from its inception. He will oversee the computational target selection, sequence/structure analysis and data management aspects of the overall project.

Component Project Information

Fold classification, target selection, and data management. This component project proposes to do comprehensive sequence comparison analysis of the M. genitalium and M. pneumoniae genomes to identify those sequence families for which no functional and/or structural information is available, and to rank them in terms of family size and functional importance. This component project will also develop the data management system for the project and for information dissemination.
