Positions in the Computational Genomics Research Group at UC Berkeley
The Brenner computational genomics research group has several
openings for postdoctoral fellows.
Who we are:
The Brenner computational genomics research group analyzes comprehensive
genetic information to elucidate the molecular function of biological
systems. Established in January 2000, the group has about a dozen
members ranging from undergraduates to senior researchers. Resources
include extensive computational facilities, including a 64-processor
computing cluster.
Job description:
Postdoctoral fellows will investigate computational, structural,
and functional genomics. The ideal candidate will develop methods
for analysis and integration of genomic sequence, structure, and
expression data. Two postdoctoral positions are available for distant
homology detection from sequence and structure; protein selection
for crystallographic studies, and analysis of solved structures;
prediction of gene function using sequence, structure, genomics
& phylogeny; or any related area of computational molecular biology.
